Payment information is handled securely by our payment providers. You must not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell or exploit any part of our website or its content without our written permission.

4. Accuracy of Information

We do our best to ensure that all information on our website is accurate, up to date and complete. Occasionally, information may contain errors or omissions, including product descriptions, prices, promotions, delivery charges or availability. If we discover a significant error affecting your order, we will contact you to discuss the available options. We reserve the right to correct errors and update website information. Any changes will not affect an order that we have already accepted, unless you agree to the change or the law allows us to make it.

5. Changes to Our Services and Prices

Product prices and availability may change from time to time.We reserve the right to update, change or discontinue products or website services. However, a price change will not affect an order once it has been accepted. If a product becomes unavailable after you have placed an order and we are unable to fulfil it, we will contact you and arrange a full refund.

6. Our Products

Merri & Fable specialises in original knitwear designs, often produced in small batches. We take care to photograph and describe our products as accurately as possible. However, please be aware of the following:

  • Colour: Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen, device settings and lighting.

  • Yarn and texture: Knitwear naturally has texture and character. Slight variations in yarn appearance, stitch definition and finish may occur.

  • Measurements and fit: Measurements are provided as a guide. Small variations may occur between individual garments and sizes.

  • Hand-finished details: Minor variations may occur as part of the production process.

These characteristics do not remove your right to receive an item that is as described and of satisfactory quality. We will always aim to ensure that the product you receive reflects the photographs and description provided. Please check individual product pages for sizing, materials, care instructions and any product-specific information before purchasing.

7. Limited Production Runs and Pre-Orders

Some Merri & Fable designs are produced in limited quantities or made available through pre-orders.Where a product is offered as a pre-order, the product page will explain this and provide an estimated production or dispatch timeframe.

Please be aware that:

  • Pre-order items may take longer to arrive than ready-to-ship products.

  • Production and delivery estimates are provided in good faith but may occasionally change.

  • We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed if there are significant delays.

  • If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will contact you and arrange a full refund.

A pre-order does not automatically remove your statutory cancellation or consumer rights. Any applicable cancellation rights will continue to apply. If a particular item is genuinely personalised or made to your individual specifications, any applicable cancellation exceptions will be explained before you place your order.

8. Orders and Payments

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products. You will receive an order confirmation email once your order has been submitted. This confirms that we have received your order, but does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted. We reserve the right to cancel an order where there is a genuine reason, such as a pricing error, stock issue or suspected fraudulent transaction. If payment has already been taken, you will receive a full refund. All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£ GBP), unless stated otherwise. Payment must be completed at checkout using the payment methods available on our Shopify store. Your payment details are processed securely by the relevant payment provider and are not stored by Merri & Fable. Please ensure that your delivery and contact details are correct before completing your purchase.

9. Prices and Availability

We aim to keep product prices and stock information accurate. All prices displayed include any applicable taxes. Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown at checkout before you complete your purchase. As we work with limited production runs, some products and sizes may sell out. We cannot guarantee that an item will remain available until your order has been placed and accepted. If we cannot supply an item you have ordered, we will contact you and refund any payment made for that item.

10. Delivery

At present, Merri & Fable delivers to addresses within the United Kingdom only. Available delivery options, estimated delivery times and costs will be displayed at checkout. Once your order has been dispatched, we will provide tracking information where this is available. Please ensure that the delivery address supplied at checkout is correct. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has been dispatched. We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the relevant product page. Unless we have agreed a different timeframe with you, goods will be delivered within 30 days of the contract being made. If delivery is delayed, please contact us so that we can look into this. If we fail to deliver within the agreed timeframe, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when you, or someone you nominate to receive them, takes physical possession of the goods. If you arrange your own carrier, responsibility may pass when the goods are handed to that carrier, where the law allows.

11. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges

We want you to be happy with your Merri & Fable purchase. If you change your mind about an online order, you generally have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods.

Changing your mind

For most online purchases, you have:

  • 14 days from the day after receiving your order to tell us that you wish to cancel.

  • A further 14 days after telling us to return the goods.

You do not need to give a reason for cancelling. To request a return, please email us at hello@merriandfable.com , including your order number and the item you wish to return.

Condition of returned items You may handle an item to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and fit, as you would in a shop. Please return items in their original condition, with labels and packaging where reasonably possible. If an item has been handled beyond what is necessary and its value has been reduced, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund in accordance with the law.

Return postage Unless an item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you will be responsible for the direct cost of returning it. This will be made clear before you place your order. If an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us before returning it so that we can help arrange an appropriate solution.

Refunds Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund you using the original payment method. This will include the cost of standard delivery where required by law, but not any additional cost you chose to pay for a more expensive delivery option. We will issue your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or, where earlier, receiving evidence that you have sent them back.

Exchanges If you would prefer a different size or product, please contact us. Exchanges are subject to availability and may need to be processed as a return and a new order.

Faulty or damaged items If your item is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not meet your legal rights, please contact us with your order number and, where helpful, photographs of the issue. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by this returns policy. Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Exceptions to the right to cancel Some items, such as genuinely personalised or custom-made goods, may be exempt from the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right. If an exception applies to a particular product, we will explain this clearly before you place your order. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty or does not meet the contract.
